Privacy Policy — LET Reviewer
This Privacy Policy describes how the LET Reviewer mobile application (the “App”), developed by Cleverly Learning Hub Philippines (“we,” “our,” or “us”), handles user data. The App is designed to assist aspiring educators in reviewing for the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET), with question banks, timed mock exams, results, and progress tracking that work even without an internet connection.
We value your trust and are committed to protecting your privacy in compliance with applicable data protection laws, including the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173 of the Philippines) and the Google Play Developer Program Policies.
1. Information We Collect and How We Use It
A. Data You Provide
- Account Registration: To use the App’s full features (downloading question packs, mock exams, and progress sync), you sign in with the account you create on cleverlyph.com. We collect your email address, name, and a securely hashed password.
- Purchases: If you buy Premium access, we keep a record of the purchase so we can grant and renew your entitlement. Payments are processed by PayMongo (GCash, Maya, or card); we never see or store your card details.
- Support correspondence: If you email us, we keep the conversation only long enough to resolve your request.
B. Data Collected Automatically
- Review Progress & Scores: Quiz scores, answers, flagged questions, and study progress are stored on your device. When you are signed in and online, this activity may be synchronized with your account on cleverlyph.com so your history and results follow you and entitlements can be validated.
- Offline-First Operation: Question packs are downloaded into the App’s private storage so the App works with no signal. Activity created offline is queued on your device and synced when you reconnect.
- Diagnostic & Usage Data: If an unexpected crash or technical issue occurs, non-personally identifiable diagnostic logs (e.g., device model, operating system version, and system error traces) may be collected to help us optimize app stability and fix bugs. We do not use third-party advertising or analytics SDKs.
C. We Do Not Collect
- We do not show ads, and we do not use advertising identifiers or cross-app tracking.
- We do not access your photos, contacts, SMS, or other personal device files.
- We do not sell personal data.
2. Permissions Requested by the App
The App only requests access to device features that are necessary to provide the review tools:
- Internet & Network State (android.permission.INTERNET): Used to sign in, fetch updated review content, download question packs, and synchronize your progress.
- App Storage (internal only): Question packs, mock-exam history, and review progress are kept in the App’s own private storage. We do not request access to your general photo, video, or document libraries.
- Notifications (if and when enabled): Used only for optional study reminders or countdown notifications for the exam date, which you can disable anytime in your device settings.
3. Advertising and Monetization
The App is monetized through optional Premium subscriptions purchased inside the App via PayMongo. The App does not display third-party advertisements and does not use ad networks such as Google AdMob.
4. Third-Party Service Providers
- PayMongo — payment processing for Premium access. Governed by PayMongo’s own privacy policy; we only receive a confirmation of your payment.
- Google Play Services — provides core application APIs and update distribution.
- cleverlyph.com hosting — account data and synced progress are stored on our secured hosting provider (Hostinger) in support of the service.
We do not currently integrate Firebase, Crashlytics, or any third-party analytics/advertising SDK. If that changes, this policy will be updated before such SDKs are introduced.
5. Data Retention, Storage, and Deletion
- Local Data: Mock-examination history, bookmarked questions, offline packs, and review progress are stored directly on your device.
- Data Deletion: Delete locally cached data and test history at any time via Android Settings > Apps > LET Reviewer > Storage > Clear Data, or by uninstalling the App.
- Account Data: To delete your account and synced data on cleverlyph.com, email hello@cleverlyph.com and we will action your request.
6. Security
We take reasonable technical and administrative precautions to protect your study materials, account access, and app integrity. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect updates to our review curriculum, changes in feature sets, or evolving regulatory requirements. Any modifications will be posted to this page with an updated “Last Updated” date.
